Our services are vital in maintaining your fuel efficiency and increasing the overall lifespan of your vehicle. Book a service appointment today.
Mechatronic unit failure: This is the most common DSG issue, often indicated by a flashing "PRNDS" light on the dashboard, a sudden loss of gears, or the transmission unexpectedly shifting into neutral. The mechatronic unit controls the gearbox's electronics and hydraulics.
An interim service is especially important if you drive more than the national average (e.g., more than 12,000 miles a year in the UK). It is also recommended if you frequently make short trips, which can cause extra wear and tear on your engine, or for older vehicles. For average-use drivers, an annual full service is often sufficient.
A full service is
a comprehensive annual check-up for your car, typically recommended every 12 months or 12,000 miles. It is more extensive than an interim service and covers a wider range of components to ensure your vehicle is running safely and efficiently for the year ahead
General guidelines for replacement are:
Vehicle programming is
the process of updating or modifying the software within a car's various electronic control units (ECUs). This is done using specialized diagnostic tools to connect to the vehicle's onboard computer system, typically through the OBD-II port
Key programming is
the process of synchronizing a new or existing key fob with your vehicle's immobilizer system, ensuring that only the correct key can start the engine. Since 1995, most cars have been equipped with an immobilizer that uses a key with a microchip, called a transponder.
Analysing system health: The check evaluates the overall "health" of the vehicle by assessing various functions, including the engine, transmission, emissions, ignition coils, and brakes.
A DSG (Direct-Shift Gearbox) oil change is a crucial maintenance task, required at specific intervals to keep this complex transmission functioning correctly
. The procedure for wet-clutch and dry-clutch DSG gearboxes differs significantly.
The Diesel Particulate Filter in your vehicle is designed to reduce air pollution from exhaust fumes. Unfortunately, there are several issues that can arise from it when it becomes blocked. If this does happen, there a few options available to you. One of the most effective is what is referred to as a DPF delete or removal as it is otherwise known. Please note that DPF Removal is for off-road use only. If your DPF is seen to have been removed, your vehicle will fail an MOT.
An EGR delete kit is an aftermarket performance part that removes the EGR valve and prevents exhaust from being redirected back to the engine. Ultimately, this allows your vehicle to function as if it never had an EGR valve. ... As mentioned above, EGR valves limit efficiency and rob engines of their performance.
Major Mechanical Failure:
Some vehicles, predominantly early BMWs, are fitted with metal flaps which are prone to failure. The metal screws holding the flap to the spindle become loose, entering the combustion chamber and causing catastrophic engine damage.
Leaking Manifolds:
Over time the seals surrounding the flap spindle break down and cause pressurized air from the inlet manifold to leak to the atmosphere. Loss in boost pressure will cause a vehicle to run rich, and can damage other components
When decatting a petrol vehicle, it is likely that an engine management light will be illuminated, and a fault code for cat efficiency will be stored inside the ECU memory (P0420). By careful recalibration of the engine ECU data we can disable the function of the second lambda sensor.
The second lambda sensor is used for monitoring the efficiency of the catalytic converter. Disabling the second lambda sensor will allow a decat pipe to be fitted for off road use only.
The AdBlue and SCR system is a relatively complex creation, with an array of electronic sensors, modules and pumps. These systems can fail and can be expensive to maintain. A vehicle which is used on a regular basis will consume a large amount of AdBlue, and its tank will need to be refilled on a regular basis.
Our AdBlue delete service will electronically disable your cars’ AdBlue system, along with removing the associated dashboard lights and warning messages.
Most notable issue is the sound of very new Petrol cars fitted with a PPF / OPF or GPF as the sound is very very muted and as such high performance cars do not sound like the version before them, We have research that reveals recently that this is a big issue for customers who are buying cars for the noise and getting none at all.
If regeneration doesn’t function properly it leads to a build-up of soot affecting performance and fuel economy. Left unattended this will result in a blocked PPF.
